Jaisalmer Fort

Though you can find historical monuments scattered all over the city, the Jaisalmer Fort will immediately command your attention.

Patwon ki Haveli

Patwon ki Haveli is a cluster of five small havelis. The haveli is dipped in an enchanting shade of gold and instantly draws your attention to the intricacy of its architecture. It is most famous for its fine wall paintings, beautiful jharokhas (balconies), archways and gateways. A walk through the haveli should not take more than an hour, and this can easily be covered in a city tour.

Salam Singh ki Haveli

Salam Singh Ki Haveli is very famous haveli in Jaisalmer. It was built by prime minister of JaisalmerMr. Salim Singh in 1815. This is six Floor haveli with distinct and a great architecture. The roof has been constructed in theform of Peacock. The haveli is situated beside the hills near the Jaisalmer Fort.

Nathmal ki Haveli

This Nathmal Ji ki haveli was commissioned to serve as the residence of Diwan Mohata Nathmal. The most interesting aspect of this haveli is the drawing of modern amenities such as cars, fans etc. It is said and believed that the Architect brothers dint see these things ever in their life and engraved it with mere help of their descriptions given by people who had seen it.

Jain Temple

Jain Temples situated in the Jaisalmer Fort are a must visit in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. There are groups of Jain temples dating back 12th and 15th centuries and are dedicated to various Jain Tirthankars. On the walls of the temples, you can find animal & human figures, carved in famous Dilwara style. One of the unique features is the vast chain of corridors that connects all the seven temples and has a number of stone sculptures and captions.

Gadisar Lake

Gadsisar Lake is one of the major tourist attractions of Jaisalmer. Just leave the madding crowd behind and venture towards the outskirts and you will find yourself next to the famous Gadsisar Lake.. If you are lucky and venture out in winters, you might get to see a variety of migratory birds. Due to its proximity to Bharatpur, some of the birds get attracted to this place also.

Desert National Park

Desert National Park is one the best attraction of Jaisalmer. This is one of the largest national parks, covering an area of 3162 km². This place attracts large hoard of migratory birds due to its close proximity to Bharatpur. The two biggest draws at the park are the Great Indian Bustard and the chinkara. Bird watchers and bird photographers should not give this place a miss as well.

Kuldhara Village

Rajasthan displays a picture of mystifying desert kingdom with many glorious forts, palaces and villages. But one more thing can be added to Rajasthan; its various abandoned and haunted places, and villages. One such place worth mentioning is the village of Kuldhara. This village is located 18 km (approx) west of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Bada Bagh

Bada Bagh, also called Barabagh (literally Big Garden) is a garden complex about 6 km north of Jaisalmer on way to Ramgarh, and halfway between Jaisalmer and Lodhruva. The site has three different things to watch, a garden, atank and a dam. In the vicinity itself you will find Govardhan Stambh (pillar). This pillar was constructed to commemorate the construction of the Dam and the tank.

Shree Tanot Mata Temple

Tanot Mata is a temple in western State of Rajasthan in District Jaisalmer of India. The village is close to the border with Pakistan, and is very close to the battle site of Longewala of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Tanot mata turn out to be a popular tourist destination and a perfect place to explore in the Thar Desert.
